Our sources follow 2 embassy small-grant schemes for Nigeria: Netherlands embassy funds (including the Human Rights Fund); Swiss embassy Small Action funds. None has a call open at the moment. Amounts and dates below come from the calls we have recorded; the embassy's own page always has the current rules.
Dutch embassies publish calls for proposals on netherlandsandyou.nl, most often under the Human Rights Fund (Mensenrechtenfonds) and sometimes for other local programmes.
Some Swiss embassies run small funds for local initiatives and announce the calls on their own pages of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs site.
Most schemes open once a year and give a few weeks to apply. Prepare your registration documents and a short project idea now, read embassy small grants explained, and create a free profile to have open calls screened for your organisation.
